(III) Emergency Triage
Emergency triage refers to the rapid assessment of emergency patients, followed by the prioritization and triage based on the severity and urgency of their condition. As the initial critical step in emergency care, an effective triage system accurately identifies critically ill patients, ensures patient safety, and optimizes the efficiency of the emergency department..
(IV) Priority Treatment for Critical and Emergent Cases
The order of treatment in the Emergency Department is determined not by arrival time but primarily by the severity of the patient’s condition, ensuring that critically ill or emergent patients receive immediate treatment priority.
(V) Triage-Based Zonal Management
To ensure that critically ill or emergent patients receive timely treatment and to optimize the use of emergency medical resources, the Emergency Department is organized into zones based on patient acuity, implementing triage-based zonal management.
